It is recommended to download anything to your phone that uses data frequently or that you’d want to have access to when you don’t have internet/WIFI. (i.e., google translate, Google Maps, Spotify playlists for music or white noise)
We recommend making a separate photo album on your phone with 10-20 pictures that show things from home (family, friends, pets, your job, favorite places to hang out in your city) that you’d like to share with people you may meet. This will make it easier than scrolling through hundreds of pictures on your phone to find the one that you really like.

Usually hair dryers, and water kettles are provided in hotels. Phone chargers are easy to attain in Egypt. Most Laptop chargers are 110v and 220v – any adapter will work (easy to attain in Egypt)
Spring/Fall – We recommend you dress in “layers”. In Fall and Spring, the mornings and evenings can be cold, and mid-day can be much warmer.
Summer, it is very hot. Wear breathable, light fabrics.
Winters can be very cold. Bring a good jacket, scarf, and gloves if you tend to run cold.
Make sure you have digital AND hard copies of all travel, airline, and tour documents.
Sign your passport in ink as soon as you receive it. Write your current address (in pencil), in the space provided. Fill in the emergency contact section (in pencil).
Make several photocopies of your passport identification page. Keep them separate from your passport.
Leave a copy of your passport, along with your itinerary, with someone at home.
When touring locally each day, try to avoid keeping your passport in your purse or luggage.
If traveling between cities, overnight hotel stays, etc. whenever possible, keep your passport locked in the safe at your hotel or hidden in your room.
When you must carry your passport, keep it hidden, preferably under your clothing in a special pouch.
Use baggage tags with name, email and phone number and keep emergency contact information on your person.
